We Remember

Kindergarten listened to a poppy poem, a book about why the poppy is important and participated in a Remembrance Day Assembly.

Students represented numbers using poppies. They painted with pom-poms an Q-tips, later adding green grass and stems with crayons. Students are working on counting 1 to 10 and 10 to 1 starting anywhere in the number sequence. This can be tricky; try asking your child to start at 3 and count up to 10 and then down to 0.

We completed a guided drawing of a poppy and then used our new drawing tips to create a poppy field. Students then coloured using oil pastels. It was wonderful. Students loved using pastels to create a poppy field and they turned out beautiful.

Students enjoyed their last table time and some centers today.

Wishing everyone a wonderful long weekend. See you on Tuesday.
