Veterans Food Drive
Kindergarten have created posters and a video to share with others the importance of donating to our Veterans Food Drive. Please see the you tube video below:
We continued to collect, graph and analyze our data for the food drive. Thanks for all of your generous donations.
We welcomed a very special guest to our classroom today. Our very own Principal, Mr. Murphy brought his daughter to work today as part of the city wide, Take Our Kids to To Work Day. Grade 9 students all over the city got to step into their future for a day and get a glimpse into the working world. This day celebrates the 25th anniversary for this initiative. Ms. Paige learned all about subitizing, learning tables, colouring rules and the Veterans Food Bank. She was great at asking questions about student learning and lending a hand. Speaking of hands, Ms. Paige painted student hands for our Veterans Food Bank Posters. She took a real chance to work with five year olds and black paint-way to go, Ms. Paige. Our posters are now displayed around the school. We think Ms. Paige will be an incredible teacher and any student, in any grade would be lucky to have her. Thanks so much, Rockstar Paige.
New Rockstar dates and activity have been sent home. How exciting. We will be creating a class quilt with all of the activity sheets so please be sure to send this with our Rockstar on their special day.
