HAPPY HALLOWEEN
The kindergarten team dressed up as the four seasons. Mrs. Johnston was winter. So much fun to see pajamas and costumes today. We enjoyed sharing our costumes and costume ideas with our classmates.
Kindergarten enjoyed the spooky gym today. We completed learning tables.
Students were excited to explore the inside of our class pumpkin today. We talked about what we could do with the seeds inside. Some said bake and some said grow a pumpkin. So, we decided that planting seeds might be fun. Students reviewed the basic needs of humans and then brainstormed ideas that a plant might need to live:
- sunshine (Griffin)
- soil (Mya)
- water (Olivia)
Students got to explore the insides by squishing and touching. They counted out 5 seeds and planted them in a cup of dirt. We watered our seeds and will find a bright spot to place them.
Students enjoyed identifying numbers and cutting and gluing to create a spooky halloween scene.
We had a spooky dance movement break and enjoyed Halloween Rhymes and stories at snack time.
Reminder that there is no school for New Brighton students tomorrow. See you Monday.
Wishing all of our students and their families a safe and Happy Halloween.
