Happy Birthday to our friend, Abigale who turns 6 years old today.

How fun to escape the rainy day with our indoor beach day.
Students had fun exploring the sand table and enjoying the indoor beach. We talked about how big and small objects are separated from the sifter and how we can find things we lost in the sand by using it. Students created different structures and shared their found treasure. Creating flat and 3D shapes with playdoh was lots of fun. Building 3D structures with snap cubes and building homes for dinosaurs got the creative juices flowing. Building and creating something new for a community of people was a fun activity at big lego.
We completed a guided drawing of an island for Beach Day. We identified different shapes at the beach and what would be a 2D shape and what would be a 3D shape:
- a towel is 2D, its a rectangle (Andy)
- a beach ball is a sphere (Brielle)
- a cooler is a prism (Lauren)
- a can of coke is a cylinder (Cash)
Looking Ahead:
- Monday is Sports day for AM and PM (please ensure your child has sunsreen applied before coming to school. Hats and water bottles are greatly appreciated.
- Tuesday is PM last day of kindergarten
- Wednesday is AM last day of kindergarten
