Some observations we had were:
- there's lots of leaves (Evan)
- the grass around the tree was not squishy (Emma)
- it grew bigger (Dashyl)
- the leaves were green (Andy)
- the trunk grew (Abigale)
- the leaves changed, last time they were buds (Thomas)
- more branches are growing (Sophie)
- it was fatter (Blaire)
- the tippy top had no leaves (Hadi)
After visiting our tree we did a guided drawing with sharpie (right?! Pretty adventurous). It went really well and students used pencil crayon to add addional detail.
AM Kindergarten did not have gym today and had time to use tissue paper to add the leaves to the tree. After suggestions and demonstrations of various ways to represent leaves, students went for it. Can you believe these amazing creations?
