Super Readers

Students in Kindergarten are getting primed for Grade 1. They have been working on their reading skills. How incredible. I am so proud to see our kinders connecting letters with sounds in words, using illustrations to access information and beginning to identify some sight words in text. Take a look at our SUPER READERS for today.

Solveig, Jordyn, Landon and Ryker are Super Readers.

Owen, Olivia, Morgan, Cash and Zoey are Super Readers. 

Blaire, Sophie, Thomas and Lauren are Super Readers.

Skylar, Andy, Abigale and Minelle are Super Readers.

AM was very busy today with both Gym and Music. We had time to explore Goldy in her home and revisit special features and needs she has. We fed her and watched her eat her food on the doc cam-what a neat experience. Students recorded a sentence about our class pet in their visual journals.

PM kept busy and was able to work on ways to represent the #6 using ten frames, tally marks, pictures, dice, fingers, dominoes and addition statements. Way to go, smart cookies.

Tomorrow we are excited for Library. Please send your child's book with them-it's an exciting day.
