Fun Friday

Our pet fish were placed safely in their visual journal tank. Students wrote the name of their fish using their knowledge of letter sounds. We each wrote a list of the things our pet would need, including: tank, food, water and love. Great work, kindergarten.

A Slice of Nice

A student in our class entered the Panago Slice of Nice contest related to standing up to bullying and they WON!! The contest included them sharing how they demonstrate caring, sharing, kindness, bravery and/or courage and how it contributes to encouraging and creating a safer, kinder more respectful and tolerant community that can help to prevent bullying. Part of their prize for this contest, was a free pizza lunch for their classroom.  Today, Panago delivered pizza for our class. Prior to the celebratory snack, we discussed how we can be responsible in our class, and outside of school. We shared ways we can respect and appreciate differences. Students shared ideas about how we can show kindness and what to do if we need help. We celebrated our friend and shared in a wonderful pizza snack, thank you Panago.

Way to go, Owen. Being kind and standing up for others is so important.  We are proud of you.

AM Kindergarten friends are so proud of you. Thanks for talking to us about how important it is to stand up for our friends.
