Neat Narwal

What an incredible day today in Kindergarten. Imagining crazy pets combined with our letter Nn led the AM and PM classes to the unicorn of the sea; the narwhal. We imagined, what would a narwhal need?

  • water (Paige)
  • love (Celtie)
  • food (Owen)
  • care (Jordyn)
  • a leash (Olivia)
  • a tank, a big one (Piper)
  • place to sleep (Landon)
It was decided that a narwhal is not such a great idea to have as a pet because their horns are so long, it couldn't even turn it's head in our class; that would be sad. Students practiced forming their letter Nn and drew their very own narwhal.

Ante, Wyatt, Owen and Celtie share their narwhal.

AM Narwhals.

We found a narwhal on the alphabet puzzle. How exciting.
Skylar, Cash, Lauren and Liam share their narwhal.

PM Narwhal drawings.
Making the number 5 was lots of fun today; 4 and 1 (Owen), 2 and 3 (Ryker) and 1 and 4 (Celtie) and 3 and 2 (Anya). We practiced using our fingers and then took a minute to record all of the ways to show five. We included tally marks, 5 frame, dice, fingers, items and the written word. Give me a high 5.
Evan, Hadi and Divya show the number 5.
Anya, Olivia and Solveig share their,  number 5 work. (AM)

This AM, Mr. Stockton came to work with Mrs. Patten's class and our class. Imaginations went wild. Such fun. We enjoyed going on a rollercoaster and listening to the rest of our story about the king and the prince and the big hairy thing. What will happen now that the prince has unlocked the cage?
