Fabulous Friday

AM Kindergarten had a most excellent Friday. We began with learning tables to get our minds working. A reading of the classic book, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, was a hit for the kids and was most certainly in response to many requests. After participating in our shared reading, students created a drawing of the Grinch following step by step instructions and a visual model. They used crayons to colour and did a wash over top. They turned out marvelous. Students wrote the, Grinch, and celebrated how it began with our letter of the week.

Jordyn, Rebecca and Owen celebrate their Grinch Masterpiece.
Students had a fresh air break on the compound before a snack and music class. They worked on a top secret patterning activity that was challenging and rewarding....Students painted a string of festive lights using Q-tips and created patterns.

We ended by passing out our report cards and we look forward to sharing the great learning next week at parent conferences. Please book online to meet with Mrs. Johnston.
