Wonderful Wednesday

Tomorrow is the PM field trip to the science center. Please ensure your child has a lunch, water bottle, snack and extra clothes. Being on time is important. We will return to the school for dismissal at 3:10.

Today AM kindergarten reflected on the best parts of the field trip; they were excited to draw and write their favourite part.

PM worked on brainstorming all of the different way Goldy moves. We generated a list of zoom, loop-de-loop, splash, swim, dive and flutter. Students wrote sentences and drew pictures to share their ideas.

Ask your child to share their, 5 senses poem with actions for you. Can they point out and spell the sight words?

Reminders:

  • PM field trip tomorrow (no school for AM kinders)
  • No school Friday for all New Brighton Students
  • No school Monday for all New Brighton Students
  • School resumes Tuesday, April 23
TOP BANANA

The class was amazed with Owen's building and imagination. He shared his photos of building a wooden airplane at home. We learned how Owen painted, used a drill and sawed wood. Students were amazed he used tools all by himself. Owen shared that he wore safety glasses and listened to his Dad as he helped him. Owen's classmates were very impressed with his building. Way to go, Builder Owen.

Lauren built a cat house to share with the class. She imagined a wonderful home where her cats could play, scratch, hide and rest. She drew a picture of all of her favourite cats. The class was excited to see the mice and tunnel on her creation. The compliments were plentiful as students shared their favourite part of the cat house. A great way to use boxes, popsicle sticks and pipecleaners. A dream house for any cat, MEOW. Way to go Builder Lauren.
