We All Need A Place to Call Home

Today students looked at a power point showing all different types of homes. We talked about things we need in a home. Students experimented with basic shapes to draw a home. They talked about what made their home important.

We were so lucky to have two parent volunteers that played Snakes and Ladders with small groups today. Students worked on recognizing the number on the dice (subitize) and then practiced moving the correct number of spaces. Playing boardgames as a family is a wonderful way to learn and have fun.

We had a visit from a group of grade 3 students and learned about the veteran's food drive. Students are encouraged to help raise food donations by bringing non-perishable food items.
